Writing to make a connection - November theme

October is whizzing to its close which means its time to let you know about next month's theme at Confident Writing.

We're going to be looking at writing to make a connection.  This is what I said about it before...

Writing that establishes a sense of connection with your reader, a wider community, the wider world.  Writing with rapport.  Writing that develops words, ideas, stories and new learning in collaboration with others.  Writing that flows from connection with a sense of place, a connection to your roots and to your self.

But I can see so many other possibilities spinning out of it too - can't you?  I can hardly wait to get started.

And it just lends itself to collaborative writing and learning, so next month seems like the perfect time to launch the first group writing project here - which is just going to be sizzling with some global connections...

It also lends itself to guest writing so once more there's an invitation to you to get involved - to write something about how words and writing can help us to make a connection - with our readers, with colleagues and customers at work, with people that we're learning, campaigning or daydreaming with, with the places where we live and work, with ourselves.

It's a chance for us to share, connect and strengthen our writing together.
