That Tuesday morning feeling
Two of my favourite bloggers, Anna Farmery at the Engaging Brand and Hilda Carroll at Living Out Loud, were on the same wavelength in the last 24 hours - always a sign that something interesting is in the air. Anna has a post on getting ready for the week ahead (on a Sunday) by remembering how tomorrow is a new day. Hilda meantime on Monday morning gave us some thoughts to kick start the week with a 'new day, new beginning'.
Oddly enough I was toying with something similar to be ready for Monday morning but it's taken me till now to get round to it (ever had the Tuesday morning feeling? Where on earth did the plans for yesterday go?). Anyway, all I want to add to the thoughts, ideas and great quotes on their blogs is something from Ralph Waldo Emerson on the start of a new day. It gives me comfort whenever I get stuck in beating myself up over what's gone before.
Happy Tuesday.
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."

Hi Joanna,
that is a fabulous quote, thanks for bringing it to our attention. Will definitely have to add it to the repertoire.
all the best,
Hilda

I love the idea of the Tuesday morning feeling! Made me smile - my mum who is not known for her optimism had another saying - "Enjoy today no matter how bad it is, tomorrow could be worse!" (So glad I inherited my dad's nature)
